Homage Wine Wins Gold at the San Francisco International Wine Competition

While on vacation we were informed that the Homage 2009 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon won a gold medal in the wines over $65 section of the competition. This is the first time that we have entered any of our wine for judgment.  Avia and I were certainly very nervous, as we did not know what to expect. Particularly given that other wines in our section are sold at $100-$300 per bottle, and our wine just squeaked into the judging section at $65.

Congratulation’s to Avia for having the courage of her convictions and entering the wine. However, the real credit goes to our fantastic vineyard management team of Juan and Victor Fuentes of Victoria’s Vineyard Management, and to Rudy Zuidema our rock-star winemaker.

Since announcing the award on our Homage Vineyard Facebook page, we have been a little overwhelmed by the demand for this wine. In the event that you would like to secure some Homage 2009 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon; homagevineyard.com is open for business or call Avia at(707)490-8449.

Just opened a bottle of the Homage 2009 Cabernet with dinner last night. It was amazing. Congratulations on your well-deserved award!
